We are seeking a Delivery Driver for a temporary assignment to begin ASAP – end date TBD. The pay rate for this position is $17.58. The candidate will work our flex schedule.
·Class A Preferred
·Forklift experience a plus
·Loading, transporting, and delivering furniture to customers in a safe, timely manner.
·Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and the customer is satisfied.
·Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
·Inspect furniture to ensure acceptable condition for delivery prior to loading truck.
·Accurately and safely load truck, checking items for damage.
·Wipe down and touch-up furniture to ensure successful delivery.
·Report all pick-up and delivery issues to dispatch and record information on paperwork.
·Keep the truck organized, clean and equipped.
·Obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
·Candidates must be able to successfully pass background screening, drug testing, DOT physical and lifting tests. Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs.
·At all times, comply with all federal, state, and company traffic and safety regulations and procedures.
·At all times perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
·Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
Valid Texas driver’s license and safe driving record
Clean criminal background.
Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles.
3+ years related job experience and training
Strong time management and customer service skills.
Attention to detail.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Warehouse and outdoor environment. Average office noise levels. Personal protective equipment required (safety shoes).
Dress Code Policy
All personnel are required to have the proper PPE (safety shoes). We will provide all other requirements (gloves and safety glasses).
Clothing should be neat, unwrinkled, clean and well-maintained. No torn, ripped, frayed, or excessively loose clothing is allowed. No shorts or skirts shorter than 4” above knee cap. Avoid clothing with wording, logos or pictures that may be deemed offensive.
